The problem is that libspotify returns invalid URLs along with valid ones and the plugin has no chance to find out that they are invalid before playing them. What has happened in your case is probably that Spotify has made some changes to their catalog removing the tracks you originally bookmarked; maybe replacing them with another copy of the same track or album.
