What I discovered under the microscope was the little contacts on the bottom of the rubber pad were worn, well mainly the ones that are used more often. So I cut small pieces of alfoil and put them under neath the pad so at least there was some better contact area. It is working now but I wont rely on it. Thanks for looking!
