The question needs much more details about op setup to be possible to answer ?
The kernel is supposed to auto download from the Internet . Op has for some reason downloaded a kernel.bin file ? Try with a factory reset touch connected to Internet , Ethernet if possible , install the app and try the kernel upgrade ? No other strange mods done to the Touch ?
