Yes, that's my guess too. Turns out I rarely use my IR remotes. I'm either using squeezeplay from my laptop to control things or ipeng on ipad/iphone. Occasionally, I'll actually use the TOUCH screen to control. My Boom's sticky fronts are more of a problem (attracts all the dog and cat hair floating about in my house!).
