One of the problems is that Touch has only 128mB of ram one no swap . Some clever dude did a mod to let the Touch swap onto the attached memory card or attached USB thing . No plugins and no web UI makes it unusable anyway .mand prolly the image processing a would be so and so if you favourite app wanted images and thumbnails to your large playlist . Btw is not LMS on the Touch hardcover to a 100 track limit rather than the usual default at 500 ( which in LMS on a normal server can be adjusted to whatever ).
I think it was a mistake to include this at all . Was it not done late in the design process when someone realised that it just might . work ? If it where in the original spec I bet the hardware had been more powerful . It's perfectly adequate for its role as a player , actually just the rigth compromises to get very god performance and reasonable price and some profit margin to .
