Why don't you take your question to "Logitech" official, I mean they
built it so they should be able to answer. It's their hardware.

that, they're not much of a legit manufacturer ...

Not that I care about your Q but I reckon it's a legit Q. All electrical
equipment needs power to work and  that power can't be in any thinkable
range. There should be specified range that's for sure.
