The Fire Stopping Inspection Diploma is now Accredited by The Institute of Fire Safety Managers. The Accreditation now further verifies the level of competency which is achieved by completing this qualification. The course has now been completed by a variety of professionals including supervisors, fire risk assessors, facilities managers, directors and construction managers and all feedback has been positive. Independent Fire Inspections Ltd has taken the lead in the inspection of fire protection by creating an E-Learning course specifically designed to provide competence of fire protection inspectors. The course has been named the Fire Stopping Inspection Diploma and will be a stepping stone on the way to becoming a Certified Fire Stopping Inspector under the new Fire Stopping Inspection Training Scheme. The course is currently the only one of its kind in the United Kingdom and we will start offering this service to train and certify Inspectors of fire stopping, linear gap seals and cavity barriers. The course has been developed by the leading experts in inspection of passive fire protection in the building environment and covers Fire Testing, The Building Regulations, Approved Documents and The Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order 2005. Different types of Fire Stopping, Linear Gap Seals and Cavity Barriers are examined and the course looks at how they are installed onsite. The course then covers how the different types of fire protection should be inspected and the different inspection techniques available. The course is suitable for anyone involved in passive fire protection and who wants to gain an advanced level, understanding of the different types of passive fire protection and the requirements onsite when being installed and when being inspected.
