Hello Helge,

I would like to contribute some small fixes to the existing
translations but the documentation [1] seems
to be written for people with write access to the repository.
What is the preferred way to send fixes instead of new translations?
A bug report, a merge request on salsa, or something else?

I could do some new translations but it's not clear if some are more
useful than others.
The DDTSS [2] has a feature that allows the translator to fetch a
specific translation or automatically
get the one with the highest priority calculated using popcon [3], so
that translations more useful for
people can be done early.
Other distributions than Debian may have different priorities, but
adding a popcon index or something
similar to the tables in [4] would be useful for people that can't
commit a lot of time to the project.

you could write to debian-l10n-italian at lists.debian.org
