If you read the Hylafax archives, you will see that USR is not at all
popular with Hylafax users as they often give these Unspecified errors. I
found that using a cheapo fax modem was easier and more reliable. Pull out
an old modem from somewhere and give it a spin - but you'll need to
reconfigure Hylafax to get to know it.
