I wish to fax a Quark document which I can output as Postscript
and have successfully sent via TPC; however the PS file is 450k
so this impractical.
The corresponding TIF file is about 50k but fails when tested
over Steve Glines' cell in Boston. Instead the recipient (myself
in the calibration test) receives a page:
NOTE: The entire contents was not transmited, only the portions
containing plain text, postscript, tiff or forwarded messages.
The table of contents for the original transmission is:
Content-type: multipart/mixed
Body-file: NONE
Subject: test
Num-parts: 2
--
Content-type: text/plain
Body-file: /tmp/tpc19012/msg-19012-1.doc
--
Content-type: application/octet-stream
Body-file: /tmp/tpc19012/QL_TE001.TIF
Despite the header's claim to have transmitted the TIF file,
in fact it did not.
I would prefer to transmit the TIF file as transmission time is
much less. What can I do to enable transmission of TIF files?
Steve thinks his setup is correct.
I also solicit volunteers for calibration tests elsewhere
than Boston.
Thanks to all.
Kind regards,
