Ah, someone added just "LED" to the list of blocked patterns, which is probably not good since it may come up in other contexts (e.g. SLED is Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop IIRC). Akismet does seem to have a tendency to block some IPs randomly at times which is annoying, though unfortunately it's really the only working option we have at this time. The last time we tried disabling Akismet filtering we got nailed pretty quickly with a bunch of spam, so turning it off isn't an option either. I'm going to continue to look into the spam filtering and see what we can do to improve it. Ugh.
