So, if a serious bug is uncovered, the release will be delayed anyway.

Sorry, but I find this _very_ ungentle from this project.

Do you publish a Release Candidate just for having published a release 
candidate? For sure there are several people which will not even notice 
this 3-day rc.

Please rethink this.
