So, if you checkout the 0.11-stable branch, and install it, you get an egg labeled something like the following:
Trac-0.11dev_r7237-py2.5.egg I realize that this is due to the setup.cfg containing: [egg_info] tag_build = dev Can we change this to `tag_build = stable` instead? That would make installs running 0.11-stable actually show which branch they are running.
