You should at least `return []`, but otherwise yes, that's fine.

It makes the file simpler and easy to understand. There's not much
difference from the ones you have pointed me, but, if you are
interested, I can share it with your or upload it to that wiki page
you pointed me to.

You're welcome to do so (just make sure you add your name as the Author in the file and maybe also in the filename; put the baseline or revision info as well, e.g. mantis_link_resolver_abarreiro-012.py).
