Yes, and you'll need to consider parsing content of both, date/time fields based on custom ticket field of type 'text' (with the additional string-to-time stamps conversation, figure DateFieldPlugin [1] could be a good starting point to look for corresponding code) and upcoming type 'time', that store values in "native" Trac POSIX microseconds format [2], as tickets fields 'time' and 'changetime' do.
