I'm with Steffen that it's not exactly clear what you're asking for... but why write an app that you need to deploy and manage on all of your machines? Seems like a lot of effort. Why not set up an e-mail address for sending ideas and then do some scripting on the server side to pull the contents into a trac page. Or even be lazier and pull them into tickets with something like emailfilter.py[1] or email2trac[2]. Though you'd probably want to modify it a bit to force all of the "idea" to have some sort of either tagging (using TagsPlugin[3]) or a particular component or ticket type (since these are now customizable) [4] To create some sort of status page where all the ideas could be seen can then be easily achieved using the TicketQuery macro[5]. This is what I love about trac... it's infinitely malleable. I've been able to create all sorts of alternative workflows and reports through the creative use of existing trac functionality and the occasional use of plug-ins that other people have written. And occasionally I've had to break down and write plug-ins myself[6].
