Well there is a dirty hack which kind of works.
We just have to replace the .po/.mo files with the one corresponding to
our templates (I overwrote the original template, extract the
messages, update/compile the catalog and then revert the original
template).

Maybe if we could override the .po/.mo files with our own it would be
simpler ?
