As Christian said, there seem to be no complaints here about trac itself; only its dependencies. If anyone uses Windows and wants to address this criticism, I think a new TracOnWindows wiki page would do the trick. It'd be linked from TracInstall and would in turn link to a consistently-compiled binary Apache + Python + mod_python + Subversion/swig/python. Then no one would have to do the sort of hunting this guy apparently did, or resort to changing DLL names with a hex editor...ugh...I'm sure the ABI changed subtlely between Python 2.3 and Python 2.4, so there's a nasty set of bugs waiting to happen.
