Betreff: [Trac] TracOnWindows - Full Microsoft Environment
We are planning on implementing TracOnWindows in a 100% Microsoft
environment (Microsoft Server 2003, IIS, MsSQL) I'd like to know if
anyone has attempted this before and what results you have had. The
main reason I am asking is because we need a very stable versioning
system where I am working. If it is not very stable it will not suit
our needs. If you have any experience with this, I'd like to know what
the most stable configuration is. Thanks in advance. Gonzalo

Are you searching an issue tracker or a versioning system?
I am asking, because on the start page of Trac you can find the following lines:

Currently I am testing Trac on a Windows environment with Apache and SQLite
Support. BTW, why do you want to use it in a 100 % Microsoft environment? I do
not see any support for MS SQL in the Trac Installation Guide.
As versioning system we are using Subversion since autumn 2005. Easy to configure and nice to use with the Tortoise Explorer plugin.
The Apache/WebDav/Subversion combination is running on a Windows XP Sp1 since August 2006 without a restart of the Desktop. And the Repositories are stored on a Fileserver.
The users of the dev department are much more satisfied with this solution then with the MS Source Safe 6 system.
