The Google Webmaster documentation says, that google uses the `<description>` content within the search result list. If no `<description>`-tag is found, google uses (relevant) text snippets out of the site content. In case of a wiki page this behaviour is normally ok but in sometimes it makes more sense to explicit define a particular description text. The Google documentation says further that the content of the `<title>`-tag has (more or less?) influence how google will interprete the relevance of the site. I'm at least use wiki page names which consist of one or two words.
