Just use normal URL syntax (http://server.example.com/file.doc). The source:
prefix is only for use with the repository Trac is linked to.

I am very new to Trac. I want to add links from a wiki to MS Word and
other files on the server where Trac is running. If I use the
"source:/some/path <http://cgf-isense:8000/LAB/browser/some/path> "link, does
that require the file to be in a subversion repository? If
so, is there a way to link to a files that aren't in subversion?

Thanks.
