The problem with the table is that it may suggest that users need to choose one
of mnemonic or vim-style. A simpler alternative might be something like:
Keyboard Shortcuts
first message: *f* or *h*
previous message: *p* or *k*
...
this help: *Shift+?*
(using ** to suggest “strong” HTML elements)
