Just to let any potential contributors know what the devs will be up to with tracker in the next week:
Laurent is going to be working on getting email subsystem working (Evolution should be the priority) I will be working on the following: 1) New crawler thread to speed up indexing (and avoid the bottleneck of mass queuing of files) 2) Make metadata extractors export rdf syntax for metadata and allow third party metadata extractor support (tracker-extract will be a fallback) 3) Build a facility for external services (similiar to dbus service files) 4) Index conversation logs and freedesktop .desktop files if you want to join in the fun and have time to burn then let me know - theres plenty of work to go round! anyhow have a merry xmas all! -- Mr Jamie McCracken http://jamiemcc.livejournal.com/ _______________________________________________ tracker-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list
