Great, including gi18n-lib.h instead of gi18n.h did the trick. As you might have guessed, I'm not so familiar with localizing libraries myself. One problem I currently see, is that the translations (the *.mo files) are currently shipped in the tracker deb package. Now, with libtracker-gtk I intend to add two new deb packages, libtracker-gtk0 and libtracker-gtk-dev, with libtracker-gtk0 depend on the tracker package now, as it contains the translations. I only see two possibilities here: Use a separate gettext domain for libtracker-gtk, or resurrect tracker-data, and put the translations there and have libtracker-gtk0 depend on tracker-data. I'll report on this later Jamie, njpatel et al. should review the strings in the source code and then Jamie should commit the updated po/*.po files (make update-po). As Jamie expressed his intention to release a new version soon, this should be done asap to give translators some time to translate all the new strings coming from t-p and libtracker-gtk.
