Hi! I'm trying to compile Tracker from git/master on Solaris 11.1.
After fixing a minor portability issue (flock), I'm completely stuck in getting g-ir-scanner to process src/libtracker-extract/. I'm completely Gnome/glib/Python agnostic so I can't make any sense of the error I see: frank@solaris:~/tracker/src/libtracker-extract$ gmake V=1 /usr/bin/g-ir-scanner --warn-all -I ../../src -D TRACKER_COMPILATION --c-include="libtracker-extract/tracker-extract.h" --namespace=TrackerExtract --nsversion=0.16 --libtool="/bin/sh ../../libtool" --include=GObject-2.0 --include=GModule-2.0 --library=libtracker-extract-0.16.la --include-uninstalled=../../src/libtracker-sparql/Tracker-0.16.gir tracker-data.h tracker-encoding.c tracker-exif.c tracker-exif.h tracker-extract-client.c tracker-extract-client.h tracker-extract-info.c tracker-extract-info.h tracker-guarantee.c tracker-guarantee.h tracker-iptc.c tracker-iptc.h tracker-module-manager.c tracker-module-manager.h tracker-utils.c tracker-xmp.c tracker-xmp.h /usr/bin/g-ir-scanner libtracker-extract-0.16.la Makefile --output TrackerExtract-0.16.gir Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/g-ir-scanner", line 45, in <module> sys.exit(scanner_main(sys.argv)) File "/usr/lib/gobject-introspection/giscanner/scannermain.py", line 400, in scanner_main ss = create_source_scanner(options, args) File "/usr/lib/gobject-introspection/giscanner/scannermain.py", line 325, in create_source_scanner ss.parse_files(filenames) File "/usr/lib/gobject-introspection/giscanner/sourcescanner.py", line 245, in parse_files self._parse(headers) File "/usr/lib/gobject-introspection/giscanner/sourcescanner.py", line 278, in _parse stdout=subprocess.PIPE) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/subprocess.py", line 623, in __init__ errread, errwrite) File "/usr/lib/python2.6/subprocess.py", line 1141, in _execute_child raise child_exception OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory gmake: *** [TrackerExtract-0.16.gir] Fehler 1 frank@solaris:~/tracker/src/libtracker-extract$ I'm trying to compile Tracker from source as Solaris (and OpenIndiana and the likes fwiw) ships with Tracker 0.67 which is a pita. We've completed a Netatalk Spotlight implementation using tracker-sparql stuff and trying to do the same with Tracker 0.67 on Solaris keeps falling on our feet (trackerd crashing, tracker-search not returning results even though the files are indexed according to tracker-files). If we get Tracker to compile on Solaris, I'd share the our patches of course. Thanks for your help and for this wonderful piece of software! -f _______________________________________________ tracker-list mailing list tracker-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-list
