I fear you've been looking in the wrong direction, Tracker does implement Evolution email indexing as an evolution plugin, it must be compiled (distros don't usually do though) and activated under the Edit/Plugins menu option in evolution. > > Searching around I've not found information about doing this. FTR, tracker-miner-fs will skip by default hidden files/directories at the time of recursing across the filesystem, but it will index any configured directory you tell it to index, (within a) hidden folder or not. What happens here is that tracker-miner-fs indexes the *files* that are in there, and how Evolution stores its information internally is meaningless to tracker-miner-fs.
