The first 60 boards are being assembled now, which should be about enough to catch up with existing orders. The modular jacks finally showed up today, shipped from the UK - and each individually packed!
Component shortages have been a MAJOR problem in the last few months. Lead times on all sorts of critical parts keep getting longer. I'm having to buy parts 3-4 months in advance when it used to be 3-4 weeks. I ordered over a thousand processors for the OT1+ two months ago and they're still about a month out. I bought all of the inventory at every distributor I could find and we're still on track to be out of those in 7 to 10 days. I'm starting to think that the only way I'm going to keep production going smoothly on everything is to take out a loan and buy about a year's worth of EVERYTHING. Assuming I can even get the quantities I need. It's getting frustrating. Anyone know of a good material requirements planning software package suitable for small businesses?
