Scott etal Does every GPS suffer from erratic operation until it has downloaded a full almanac? I know we have seen that in the commercial tracker products I've worked with. If the GPS is new and the unit is powered up inside it takes MUCH longer for things to start working and some very strange readings come about.
Gervais, What is above your GPS? Blue skies? I had a customer argue with me all day that powering up the unit inside made no difference because his roof was wood. Now he ONLY powers them up outside because they all work right off when he does. Just a layman on GPS trying to help.
