I agree with Bob on the QRM, a airborne tracker works great with low
power and min hops but a digi would repeat stations from 100 + miles,
maybe ok in ND where the digis are scarce.
My thoughts as well for what it is worth.

Setting up an airborne digi is NOT RECOMMENDED unless it is on a
frequency
other than 144.390. The QRM that you will create will probably render
144.390 unusable over a wide area. Unless you plan on staying below
1,500
ft while your digi is running, please don't do it.
