What do you want it to do, act like a puck style GPS, or as a display
style GPS with waypoints plotted?

The Kenwood TM-D710 is looking for a serial NMEA 0183 style sentence
structure, and it also uses a proprietary waypoint output format that
only the AvMap G5 understands natively.

While the following seems a little redundant to me, I guess it has
been an awfully long time since it was last posted...

As you can see in the Wiki, and by reading the information in the
archives, only the Nuvi 350 does things in what is considered the
"right" way. Should a new Nuvi version become available that fully
supports the type of operation that we desire, there will be a great
deal of hoopla, swinging from the rafters, shouting from the
mountaintops, and other general shenannigans...
