Guys, I just had an epiphany... I was looking for a place to mount a 2m colinear antenna on my ninja and it struck me... the license plate holder sticks out past the tail light and is hollow inside. I think my foot will clear it as I get on and off. I could put a roof mount NMO right into the plastic. Just checked one of the parts places online and the rear fender/license plate holder is $37, so it'll be easy to undo this if I change my mind.
The way I got it figured is one of Scott's OT2 trackers hooked to my nuvi 350 in FMI mode and I'll have two way tracking and messaging right there going down the road! Many months ago I found a chrome 7/8" ring with a 19mm ball stem that adapts the nuvi cradle to the handlebars on ebay. Now I'm starting to think the alinco 135 with the OT2 module inside tucked into a saddlebag. Saddle bags on the way, have to wait to find a waterproof plastic box. Wes --- God help those who do not help themselves.
