Buy the 1meter 6 pin MiniDIN cable at:

Simply cut in half and now you have two equally wire cables for
mobile rigs with the rear mounted data port (6 pin MiniDIN).
Here's the review I wrote way back when:
DB-9 RADIO connector to 1/2 of the Mini-Din patch cable:
The following is known to work on KPC-3, OT, and TT:
Pin # = Patch Cable Color - Function
---------------------------------------------------------
-----------
Pin 1 = Grey - TX Data to radio mic
Pin 2 = Yellow - COR/SQL Goes high when squelch active (Optional)
Pin 3 = Green - PTT Radio will TX when low (GND)
Pin 5 = Red - 1200 Data out Discriminator Output
Pin 6 = Brown - Ground
To power OT thru the radio port (best for ease of config changes, etc)
Pin 6 = GND
Pin 7 = 13.8Vdc input
The OT2 mates to a 2M mobile rig easily with extra long tie wraps or
electrical tape with stick side out for first wrap or two, then
sticky side down. (Won't leave a messy residue on equipment!).
I found some extension cables at our local electronic surplus store
(1meter long male to female 6 pin DIN). Mount rig in dash and then
bring the cable out to glovebox or elsewhere. Now you can remotely
program the memories and use APRS without yanking rig from dash. I
do this w/all my Ford products... remove the double DIN radio,
install my own single DIN radio w/a 2M/440 rig underneath. Speaker
is remotely mounted up by left ear on door post and antenna is NMO
near dome light for access. Mic hangs from one of the power port
jacks. Take a wooden mop handle, cut off 3", taper one end with a
knive, file, abrasive wheel, etc. Drill two holes in the large end
and insert a U shaped piece of heavy wire (piece of coat hanger) and
bend accordingly to capture the metal button on back side of mic.
Now mic hangs from dash, not on floor or seat waiting to be a stuck
mic!
