I deleted my .bashrc to test and it still hangs (had to do C-g C-g). Here's the ending of the debug after starting a bash session using tramp: MASK:~$ 09:44:23.663587 tramp-maybe-open-connection (3) # Found remote shell prompt on `MASK' 09:44:23.663858 tramp-send-command (6) # exec env ENV='' PROMPT_COMMAND='' PS1=\#\$\ PS2='' PS3='' /bin/bash 09:44:40.967580 tramp-accept-process-output (3) # Opening connection for MASK using ssh...done Hmm, I also wouldn't want to always have to modify each .bashrc...that isn't very portable. Maybe I should just do it via sshfs, but getting it to work on a Mac is a pain. >>> PS: I'll start a trip tonight, being almost offline for the next 2 >>> weeks.
