I cannot see from the backtrace, whether this function failed due to an
error in the function itself, or whether the declaration has failed.

I have seen a similar error two or three times by myself in the past,
but I haven't been able to get traces, like you. The good message is
that it happens rarely only. But I would like to catch the error.

A recipe would be helpful. Do you remember whether you have done
something different during this session? Did you get other errors
before? Did you need to interrupt something?
