Look in the Data Element Dictionary in Appendix E. The Discharge
Fraction is defined as The number of days billed are
(sic) divided
by the Average Length of Stay. Any element with an industry name
is defined/described in the data element dictionary. Every guide
has a DED with the elements specific to that guide. Washington Publishing
also has a complete DED available for downloading on the same web page
as the implementation guides.

On the 835, data element CLP11,
CLP12 and CLP13 are required when
adjudication considers the DRG.
How are Health Plans planning to
use the 835 and DRG processing?
Also, can anyone provide
information on CLP13 (industry:
Discharge Fraction)? Where would
we find this information?
