Further clarification.

In the 277 IG -Loop 2200D (or E) appears to be Required. This is Claim level
response.  We have an application here that processes at line level. Each
line could potentially have a different status. 
In the Intro  item 2.2.3.5 Claim Response - it indicates that the STC
segment reports status of Claim OR Service Line. 

Can we use the Loop 2200D for first line of claim and go on to use the line
level statuses for addtl lines? Or must we roll up the lines but then how
will we report different statuses?

If your processing system does line level processing - how do we respond?
How do we respond on the 2200D or 2200 E if each line processes differently?
Loop 2200 is required.  Do the claim status category code and claim status
codes apply to line?
