Yes, there is something planned for 1.1.0.
I'm thinking to something like a direct import module (no helper
programs like vncrec needed), but there isn't a clear path for me yet.
Things should be improved, dunno yet how ;)
Anyway, existing import vnc is supposed to work.
Don't ask for details, I don't know almost anything on this field, I've
just looked at code (and it was pretty enough for convincing me to write
something new =) ).

Many thanks for the reply. What I've found till now is that current
release is 'not' transcoding the vnc files. I want to fix it!
Now, it would be really nice if you can send me the locations of the
previous versions, which as far as I know "were working" :)
