Well, there is a little problem: the lastest and greatest release is undoubtfully (but from my point of view ;) ) the upcoming 1.1.0 release actually developed on CVS. In other words, the best of breed is CVS HEAD. On the other hand, CVS isn't well tested and debugged. So for average user 1.0.x branch is expected to be just better. But people that want to take a look at new fancy stuff, or that simply like to live on the edge, should really start to consider to give to CVS a chance ;) > Please lemme know the CVS details. Source code access is documented here: http://www.transcoding.org/cgi-bin/transcode?Download 1.1.0 will be a lot different from 1.0.x even if we still doing only a fraction of work needed to improve transcode. We're focus on export layer and rebuilding/reorganizing internal infrastructure, but isn't nor an easy nor a quick task because we're seriously lacks coding time :\ For more details and updates on development, join transcode-devel (very low-traffic) ;) > I tried these links: > > http://opensource.depthstrike.com/torrent.php/transcode-1.0.2.tar.gz.torrent > > http://www.jakemsr.com/transcode/transcode-1.0.2.tar.gz > http://www.kraymer.mynetcologne.de/transcode-1.0.2.tar.gz > > But none of'em are working! D'uh, that's annoying. OK, there is a backup resource here for stable release: http://fromani.exit1.org/ Of course above we'll do something for above main links ASAP. Most distributions also ships binary transcode packages ready for usage.
