Hi,

0n 06/08/[EMAIL PROTECTED]:04 E. Hakan Duran told me:

I already read your other posts on this topic, but this one has the
most information. If would be of assistance if you can tell kmail to
keep references. Otherwise it is breaking threading here. I am sure
kmail can do this, but dunno how.

There are several problems with (dv in) avi container. Which program
did you use to grab the video from the tape?

I myself prefer to use dvgrab/kino for caturing.

Please make sure to use raw DV data. In spite DV mode2 will do also,
it is IMHO a good advise to avoid the buggy avi container at all.

You can try to change the format of the stream by loading it in kino
and export it as rawDV. I suppose that should cover the problem. If
you used any proprietary tool on $EVIL_OS for capturing you should
have a look if that tool is offering rawDV (DV mode2) export.

If you give a DIR on the command line every file in that dir will be
passed to transcode. Make sure that no other files are in this dir
and that the ordering is ok.

Another very nice feature is -x xml which will cover kinos SMIL list
format.

HTH & good luck.
