I'm seeing a message from tcextract (transcode 1.0.2 running on FC5,
from the transcode-1.0.2-9.fc5.i386.rpm off the ayo.freshrpms.net yum
repo) of form

"(extract_mpeg2.c) missing start code at 0xffff47ff"

Should the reported offset be believed when operating on a file >
4GB in size?

I have some reason to believe the actual location is different. the
file being operated on is a concatenation of smaller VOBs from a DVD, of
total size 0x1f7860000 bytes.

When running tcextract individually on the smaller VOBs, I see a
similar "missing start code" error only very near the end of the last
one. Adding in the size of all preceding VOBs places that at 0x1f7854800
in the concatenated file. This does not appear identical to the reported
0xffff47ff (modulo 32-bit int overflow), but it's pretty close.
