I have 2 hours of the local python user group meeting. something we want to do every month. There is a significant amount of footage that can be removed, like dead air, getting the projector setup, pizza break, etc.

I was at the meeting, so I really don't want to spend 2 hours reviewing it. especially every month. but there are people who were not there who will do 'some of it.'

I want to figure out some way of doing 'collaborative editing' so that the 'useless' footage can be removed without any one person having to sit though it all.

my thought is: put 30 gig of DV data on my server, have some sort of text file that defines keep/remove/unknown time slots. also have a few gig of footage that is encoded in a more manageable format. someone can dl 30 min of 'manageble' footage, watch it and submit the 'keep/remove' time stamp endpoints. the server would then 'edit' the manageable version so the next person would have less to wade though.

so.. before I go writing some buggy scrips, does anything like this already
exist?
