Dear list I am a little bit "frightened" to see the almost-50-page manual of transcode. Even I know it's powerful and will handle my requirement of saving audio track from DVD video disc to local harddisk music file in AC3 format, I'd still think it's better in the wiki to have an example exactly doing what I need, for newbies who either cannot RTFM for lack of background knowledge, or for occassional users who wish to enjoy typical usage of this great piece of software but don't have time to go through a toturial or RTFM.
My requirement is very simple and probably is common, I wish to save DVD audio tracks but avoid destoring quality by re-encoding it in other codec than AC3. I wish to get several AC3 audio file just like what 'abcde' can get me. Maybe some kind user can provide just the commandline I need and add it to the transcode wiki page the example section for the wider audiance? Thanks in advance! By the way what's the recommended container format for AC3 audio files?
