It seems that audio is probed correctly.
And dvd-image has only one audio stream.

I extracted audio separately with VLC and encoded it to mp3, that worked
pretty fine.

After merging audio/video I got a wonderful movie.


Could Lame be the problem?

Yes, log output will help.
Also, if you can reproduce the problem outside dvdrip and send here
a backtrace, this will help greatly too
