Good Morning!

For the splitting I found out, that avisplit works only at keyframes. My Codec
produces keyframes every 30 secs, so that won't be the right solution. My plan
now is: Conversion to another format with many keyframes, for getting splitting
accurancy, afterwards splitting, merging and conversion in a well handable
format.

Can you explain the fps-conversion a little more in detail? I tried various
commands like
transcode -i input.avi -o output out.avi --export_fps 5.0 -x mplayer -J
modfps=clonetype=0 -y xvid,null
but it won't work.

Maybe my development enviroment isn't setup properly, I use Ubuntu 8.10. I
tried to install again and again with different howtos, but there where always
problems with anything missing. Now I made a fresh install with the package
installer and it seems to work well. Is there a good and up-to-date install
tutorial anywhere? Only "Download!, Compile!" is a little too less for me...
Especially the ffmpeg-options are explained always different.

Thanking you in anticipation,
Chris
