What Andrew said... plus make sure you have /usr/local/bin in your
PATH before /usr/bin, or you are just running the same binary. If the
problem still persists, (on 32-bit, as that is all I run), I haven't a
clue. I installed via a gentoo emerge and it is working fine. Not to
say, this isn't a bug, but I'm not hitting it with my glibc (2.12.2).
Heap corruption is pretty unpredictable.
