EMC/Reliability Engineer The Mobile Computing Group of Philips Electronics North America is the developer and distributor of the award-winning Philips Velo handheld PC products. With headquarters in Campbell, CA (suburb of San Jose), PMCG is one of the first new initiatives in digital convergence from Philips Electronics, one of the largest electronics companies in the world with annual sales of $41 billion (NYSE: PHG).
PMCG needs an EMC/Reliability Engineer to develop agency approvals for future haldheld mobile products. With new electromagnetic and telephony requirements coming out the trend is to consolidate many of these testing methods into a worldwide approval system. Your job will be to detail the testing methodology, tests and regulations product by product, perform or evaluate tests and develop the conformance documentation. Requirements include a BS in Physics or EE and a minimum of 5 years engineering experience. Requires 2+ years commercial experience in CE Mark, PTT, UL, CSA, FCC, CS-03, ICES-003 application and testing requirements for worldwide introduction. Experience with EMC and PTT agency testing and documentation is a must.
