Funny thing, I went the other way and couldn't be happier. Owned a number of HP WinCE machines going back to version 1.0 of the OS. Always a bit frustrated with the feature limitations but most frustrated about having to buy all of my applications over again whenever upgrading the OS or the PDA.
One day my wife wanted a PDA and decided on the Palm Zire-71. Of course I was the one tasked with setting it up for her and installing the PC software. Needless to say I was so impressed I got one myself. Quickly I upgraded to the Tungsten-C and then later to the Treo-650. I have never had so much fun with a gadget as I have with these three Palm PDA's! Fantastic screens, features and zillions of programs to pick from. I love astronomy and there was only one semi-serious astro program for WinCE. Now that I am using a Treo-650, I have 14 serious astro programs installed on it. In fact two of them allow me to control my $15,000 computerized Meade LX-200 telescope wirelessly via Bluetooth directly from my Treo-650. I am not switching back to MicroSloth until Killer Bill drives the last nail into Palm's coffin. May that never happen. -Christopher Erickson, www.data-plumber.com On 11/29/05, Dave Will <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I've been using Palm OS for several years.
