In general, file managers will let you:
-- See what files (including hidden files) exist on your internal and
external memories
-- See and change the attributes of these files, including their
names, backup bits, etc.
-- Copy or move these files to other places
-- Lets you create or delete folders on your cards
-- Lets you delete individual files
Some will let you see and modify the contents of files
Use lots of care when modifying or deleting or you can shoot yourself
in the foot very easily.
