An example use of RomTools.. Currently, I have an issue with the latest version of Documents to Go becoming corrupt whenever the 700P goes into a particular reset. My preferences get lost as well as registration info on all my apps.
But in regards to Documents to Go, the T700p somehow gets confused and states that there is another version of this app in the system. It does this whenever I try to open a document. Ideally, with ROMTools I could delete the pre-bundled and outdated Doc's to Go and replace it with the newer one along with the registration info. This will protect it from resets caused by other software I decide to try out. In essence I can "burn" all the apps that I find I use often, and protect them from becoming corrupt. Lastly, I can delete apps such as... 1. Versamail (and replace it with Snappermail) 2. QuickTour 3. Get BC 4. Downloads In regards to making the 700P faster, that I do not know. But if the memory is built in the same fashion as the 650 then there should be a noticeable change by deleting the above apps and increasing the ROM space. Other than the above, it satisfies the geek in me to fiddle with things.
