OK, now launch PI and tap the "Notif." button.  What's listed under HEDE?
That's where the slowness is introduced.  

I've narrowed my HEDE-hooking apps down to my most important 4 (Butler,
KeyCaps600, FieldPlus and Hi-Launcher) and my speed test comes in at an
acceptable (to me) 13 seconds.
